I designed the case for the keyboard.

First, I just extruded some material around the PCB to work with, cutting away a slot for the PCB itself. Since it’s a 40% HHKB-style layout, I left in the characteristic blockers on the bottom left and bottom right.

However, the main thing that took time to get right was the angle of the case. It has a slight gradient to make it better to type on, but making sure that certain edges are parallel to the desk and others are probably angled took a bit of time to get right. This was especially difficult since the PCB is laying flat in the Fusion view, so the entire case is oddly angled, even though obviously the bottom would be flat in the printed version.

I also added cutouts for the USB-C port and battery switch.

I’m still a bit new to modeling, so my work probably took a lot more time than needed, but I’m happy with how it came out.
